Medical Massage

Many people are unaware that licensed massage therapists accept health insurance for medical massage. Medical massage is designed to address specific issues such as managing chronic pain, injuries, postural concerns, and post-surgery rehabilitation. One of its greatest advantages is the collaboration with your healthcare provider. Each session is guided by a plan from a medical professional, ensuring that everyone involved in your care is aligned on your diagnosis and goals. This integrative approach combines traditional Western medicine with holistic health care, and when care is coordinated through teamwork, patients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Online booking is not available for medical massage. To schedule an appointment send us your insurance card, driver’s license, and prescription. Email information to info@27eastwellness.com or text 631.304.6742. At this time, we only accept NYSHIP insurance, but this may change in the future.

Once we receive your information, we will confirm your NYSHIP benefits, including eligibility for out-of-network visits. Most people are entitled to up to 20 visits per calendar year, but some may qualify for more.

After your benefits are confirmed, we will contact you to set up your appointment.

Please click on the prescription form to download it. Have your healthcare provider complete the form and bring it with you to your scheduled appointment.

Prescriptions for massage therapy are valid for a maximum of 12 weeks from the date of issue. An updated prescription is required once the previous one expires.
